Do you enjoy teaching the Bible to high school students? Are you willing to patiently answer students' questions about God and the Bible?

The Pennant Hills and Cherrybrook Christian Education Association (PHCCEA) is looking for a Special Religious Education (SRE) Teacher to work 5 days per week at Cherrybrook Technology High School commencing term 1 2023.

The successful applicant will be someone who has a passion for explaining God’s word and well-developed teaching skills. Along with teaching 43 Christian SRE periods per fortnight at Cherrybrook Technology High School, using the provided resources and the approved curriculum, and supporting student lead lunchtime Christian groups, they will partner closely with the local churches who support this SRE program.

The successful applicant will have a current Working With Children Check number, have completed a church based Child Protection Training course in the last 3 years, adhere to the Nicene Creed and statement of faith found on the ‘SRE Positions Vacant’ section of the Generate website and hold or be willing to study towards, a Diploma in Theology. To teach SRE, you must be authorised to teach SRE by a Department of Education approved SRE provider.
